Three Men Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash near Palos Heights

Three individuals tragically lost their lives in a devastating single-vehicle crash that occurred on Monday night near Palos Heights in unincorporated Worth Township, as reported by Cook County sheriff’s police.

The incident took place around 11 p.m. when authorities received a distress call regarding a crash near Harlem and 135th Street. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered a 2008 Nissan pickup truck in a ravine off the road.

Inside the vehicle, the driver, a 26-year-old, and a 24-year-old passenger were found unresponsive, while a 26-year-old passenger had been ejected from the truck and was also unresponsive, according to the police. Tragically, all three occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

A fourth passenger, a 24-year-old individual, sustained injuries and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, confirmed the police.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office later identified one of the deceased as Denis Trochez, a 24-year-old resident of the 7100 block of Laverne Lane in Tinley Park. However, the identities of the other two victims were not immediately released, pending notification of their respective families.

The medical examiner’s office determined that the cause of death for all three individuals was multiple injuries sustained in the motor vehicle accident.

As authorities continue their investigation, the Cook County sheriff’s police have not yet disclosed any further details regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash.
