Man Arrested and Charged in Connection to Phoenix Hill Shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The Louisville Metro Police Department announced on Thursday that a man has been arrested and charged in relation to a shooting incident that occurred in the Phoenix Hill neighborhood. The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Enus Stovall, was apprehended by the LMPD following an intensive investigation.

The incident took place on January 13 at approximately 6 p.m. when authorities responded to a distress call reporting a shooting at the Dosker Manor apartments. Upon arrival, officers discovered a critically injured individual who was later identified as Daniel Q. West, aged 32. Tragically, West succumbed to his wounds while receiving medical treatment at the University of Louisville Hospital.

The LMPD, determined to bring justice to the victim and their family, diligently pursued leads and gathered crucial information that ultimately led to the arrest of Enus Stovall. Acting promptly on credible intelligence regarding Stovall’s whereabouts, law enforcement successfully apprehended the suspect on Tuesday.

Following his arrest, Stovall was transported to the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections. He now faces charges of murder in connection to the fatal shooting of Daniel Q. West.
