Tragic Murder of a 24-year-old Woman

A 24-year-old woman was brutally murdered in New Delhi, allegedly by her boyfriend, who suspected her of being involved in multiple affairs. The shocking incident has left the local community in shock and raised concerns about the safety of women in the area.

Suspect Arrested: Pandav Kumar

The accused, identified as Pandav Kumar, has been apprehended by the authorities. According to a senior police officer, the victim’s body, bearing injury marks from a sharp-edged weapon, was discovered near a railway track in the Shakur Basti area. The crime scene yielded crucial evidence, including a blood-stained broken knife and a blood-stained shaving blade.

Extensive Investigation Leads to Arrest

The police launched an intensive investigation into the murder case, analyzing nearly 100 hours of CCTV footage from the vicinity. Based on technical analysis and local information, Pandav Kumar was identified as a person of interest. CCTV cameras captured him with the now-deceased woman before the crime took place.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (outer), Jimmy Chiram, stated, “We have registered a case of murder and initiated a thorough probe into this heinous crime. Our team worked diligently to review the CCTV footage and gather other crucial evidence. This led us to apprehend Pandav Kumar as the prime suspect.”

Accused Reveals Motive and Background

During interrogation, the accused, Pandav Kumar, confessed that he comes from a poor family and had dropped out of school. He had been in a relationship with the victim for the past one-and-a-half years. However, in recent months, Pandav grew suspicious of the woman’s fidelity and felt neglected by her.

DCP Jimmy Chiram further revealed, “The accused developed a belief that the deceased woman was involved in multiple affairs and was ignoring him. Fueled by jealousy, he hatched a plan to end her life and purchased two knives from a local vendor at Rani Bagh market.”

A Cold-Blooded Murder

On January 24, the accused lured the woman to Budh Vihar Nala, attempting to persuade her to live together in a rented accommodation. However, when she refused, Pandav Kumar took her to the railway yard, where he committed the gruesome act. Using a knife, he mercilessly attacked her multiple times, inflicting severe injuries that ultimately led to her tragic demise.

The local community, friends, and family of the victim are devastated by this horrific incident. They are demanding swift justice and stricter measures to ensure the safety of women in the area.
