According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast), Rajesh Deo, the elevated wooden platform, supported by an iron frame, gave way around 12:30 am. The platform, intended for the families of organizers and VIPs, crumbled under the weight of the crowd, breaking from the middle. Shockingly, the event had been organized without obtaining prior permission, leading to the registration of an First Information Report (FIR) against the organizers. The police have initiated an investigation into this unfortunate incident.
