A distressing and heart-wrenching incident unfolded in Georgia on January 16, 2024, when Vivek Saini, a 25-year-old Indian student, was brutally beaten to death by a homeless drug addict at a convenience store. This shocking revelation is even more devastating considering that Saini had been offering help to the assailant in the days leading up to the tragedy. The harrowing incident was caught on camera and the video has since been circulating on the internet, leaving people horrified. M9 News Channel reported on this tragic event on Sunday.

The assailant has been identified as Julian Faulkner, who mercilessly attacked Vivek Saini, a part-time clerk at the convenience store. The shocking incident took place at the Chevron Food Mart located at Snapfinger and Cleveland Road in Lithonia City, Georgia. Faulkner brutally hammered Saini, striking him with relentless blows approximately 50 times.
Prior to this tragic incident, Vivek Saini had been extending kindness and support to Julian Faulkner. Over the past few days, Saini had gone out of his way to help the homeless man, offering him chips, coke, water, and even a warm jacket to protect him from the cold weather. However, despite these acts of compassion, Faulkner responded with an extreme and horrifying act.
What led to the murder of the Indian student in the US
On January 16, as Saini was about to leave the convenience store, he requested that Faulkner vacate the premises due to safety concerns or face the intervention of the police. The homeless drug addict had been residing at the store for some time and had received assistance from the store’s employees.
Tragically, on that fateful day, instead of complying with Saini’s request, the accused began swinging a hammer, repeatedly striking Saini in the head with a forceful and brutal assault that continued for almost 50 blows.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found the homeless man standing over the lifeless body of the young victim.
