Indiana State Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Southern Indiana

Indiana State Police are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident involving a fatal shooting in southern Indiana. The incident occurred just after midnight on Sunday when authorities received a distressing 911 call reporting a shooting at a residence located in the 500 block of North College Avenue in the city of Salem.

Venita Hill, a resident living a few houses away from the scene, shared her account of the shocking development. Although she didn’t hear the gunshots, she witnessed the swift response of first responders racing down her street.

“Two police cars arrived here with their lights flashing, not blaring sirens, just the lights. It was early in the morning, and I immediately sensed that something terrible had happened, but I was unaware of the exact details,” said Hill.
