Indian Student Beaten to death with Hammer by Homeless Man in Georgia Convenience Store
An Indian student working part-time at a convenience store in Georgia, US, was tragically killed in a brutal attack. Vivek Saini, 25, was brutally beaten to death with a hammer by a homeless man he and his fellow employees had been assisting for the past couple of days. The incident occurred on January 18 at the Chevron Food Mart in Lithonia, according to reports from local media.
The Tragic Incident
Witnesses at the scene stated that Vivek Saini was attacked by a homeless man with a hammer late at night. The employees at the Chevron Food Mart had allowed the homeless man, identified as 53-year-old Julian Faulkner, to come in and out of the store since January 14. They had provided him with various items, including food, drinks, and even a jacket.
However, on January 16, Saini told Faulkner that it was time for him to leave. When Saini left the store to go home, Faulkner attacked him from behind with a hammer. He continued to strike Saini nearly 50 times on his face and head, according to one of the employees who witnessed the horrifying attack.
Police Intervention
When law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, Faulkner was still holding the hammer and standing over the victim. They gave him verbal commands to drop the weapon. Sadly, Vivek Saini, a recent MBA graduate, was pronounced dead inside the store.
