Gurugram: 21-Year-Old Man Allegedly Stabbed to Death Over Suspected Love Affair

A tragic incident unfolded in Gurugram’s Ravi Nagar area on Sunday night, as a 21-year-old man was brutally stabbed to death by his friends. The victim, identified as Aakash, was a resident of Naharpur village. It is believed that the motive behind this gruesome act was a suspected love affair.

According to the deceased’s brother, Suraj, Aakash and the suspects, Pratham and Krishan, were former schoolmates. Although Krishan had left the school in class 8, a dispute over a girl had arisen between him and Aakash. This disagreement seemed to have fueled the tension between the friends.

On the fateful night, the accused duo lured Aakash outside his house. Oblivious to the danger that awaited him, he went out with them. Concerned about his brother’s prolonged absence, Suraj started searching for him and made a horrifying discovery. He found Aakash lying in a pool of blood near the subway along the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway.

“The victim succumbed to excessive blood loss. However, the precise cause of death can be confirmed only after an autopsy. The primary reason behind this incident appears to be a suspected love affair. The Gurugram police are conducting raids in order to apprehend the suspects,” stated Subhash Boken, spokesperson of the Gurugram police as quoted by IANS.

This unfortunate incident comes just a day after another shocking case of violence in Maharashtra’s Pune. A 26-year-old woman IT professional was allegedly shot dead by her boyfriend in the Hinjawadi area of Pimpri Chinchwad. The accused, identified as Rishabh Nigam, allegedly became enraged after the victim, Vandana Dwivedi, started avoiding him recently.

Nigam, who was later apprehended in Mumbai, faces charges under Indian Penal Code Section 302 (murder) and the Arms Act. The senior police official confirmed the registration of the case and stated that Nigam and Dwivedi, both hailing from Uttar Pradesh, had been in a relationship since 2013. The official also revealed that Nigam suspected the deceased’s involvement in an assault he had faced in their hometown a couple of years ago.
