According to the authorities, the victim has been identified as 51-year-old Bridgette Lynn Pardoe, a resident of Smithfield. Reports indicate that Pardoe was driving north on Brewers Neck Boulevard in her 2004 Ford Taurus when she lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the roadway, colliding with a ditch, before overturning multiple times and tragically ejecting Pardoe from the vehicle.

The severity of Pardoe’s injuries made it initially difficult for the police to identify her. However, on January 26, the medical examiner’s office confirmed her identity, allowing the police to release her name to the public. Furthermore, the next-of-kin were duly notified of the heartbreaking news.

Authorities have revealed that Pardoe was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident. As investigations continue, the police are yet to determine if speed or alcohol played a role in this devastating incident.
