Bibb County Deputies Make Arrest After Burglary Suspects Found in Sewer

BIBB COUNTY, Ga. (Gray News) – Deputies in Georgia made a stinky arrest after they located one of two alleged attempted burglars in a sewer after the two suspects broke into a warehouse Tuesday.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for a break-in at California Cereal Products on Mead Road on Tuesday just after 9 a.m.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered that the two suspects had fled into a nearby wooded area, sparking a pursuit.

One Suspect Apprehended Without Incident

A patrol sergeant from the sheriff’s office quickly initiated a chase after the suspects, following their footprints. This led to the successful capture of one of the suspects, who was taken into custody without any issues.

Authorities have not released the name of the apprehended suspect.

Second Suspect Found Hiding in Sewer

While one suspect was in custody, law enforcement officials continued their search for the second suspect.

After an extensive search, the second suspect was located hiding inside a sewer. Dramatic photos released by the sheriff’s office on Facebook show deputies pulling the suspect out of the sewer through a manhole.

The identity of the second suspect has been revealed as 56-year-old Johnny Frank Larson.

Charges Filed Against the Suspects

The two suspects, now in custody, have been identified as 37-year-old Joseph Seth Sheriff and Johnny Frank Larson.

Joseph Seth Sheriff was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters for further investigation. He is facing multiple charges, including burglary, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and probation violation.

On the other hand, Johnny Frank Larson was transported to a hospital to receive medical treatment for a complaint.

Larson has been charged with second-degree burglary and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

No Bond Granted for Both Suspects

Following their arrests, both Joseph Seth Sheriff and Johnny Frank Larson have been denied bond.

They will remain in custody until their scheduled court appearances.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident and gather further evidence related to the case.
