Man Arrested and Charged with Vehicle Theft in Gaithersburg

Gaithersburg, Md. (BW) – A 33-year-old man from Gaithersburg has been arrested and charged with vehicle theft, burglary, theft, auto theft, rogue and vagabond, and resisting arrest. The suspect, identified as Travis Isreal, was apprehended by Montgomery County Police on December 13, 2023, in the 100 block of East Deer Park Drive in Gaithersburg.

The arrest followed a report of a stolen vehicle in Rockville earlier that day. Acting swiftly, Montgomery County Police located the suspect at around 6 p.m. in Gaithersburg. Despite resisting arrest and attempting to flee, Isreal was successfully apprehended.

Upon searching the stolen vehicle, law enforcement officers discovered several items that linked Isreal to multiple burglaries in the area. The targeted locations included Calaber Drive, Tulip Drive, Cottonwood Terrace, Washington Grove Lane, and Gaither Road. The Gaithersburg Police Department has also charged Isreal with another burglary on East Deer Park Drive.

Isreal is currently being held without bond pending further legal proceedings.
