Disturbance Reported at Princess Street Home

At 1:55 a.m. on Wednesday, law enforcement officers responded to a Princess Street home after receiving a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, they noticed a 2011 Volkswagen parked outside the residence, exhibiting damage to all windows and two headlights, police officials revealed.

During the investigation, authorities identified Simranjeet Singh, a 27-year-old resident of Hicksville, exiting the backyard. Singh was subsequently recognized as one of many attackers involved in the break-in and was promptly apprehended by the police.

Basement Door Breached, Multiple Victims Assaulted

According to the police, several males, including Singh, forcibly entered the residence through a basement door. Once inside, they brandished various items, including a black handgun and a large metal sword. The assailants then proceeded to attack at least five male victims who were present in their bedrooms, causing them injuries.

One of the victims, a 23-year-old man who was asleep at the time, identified Singh as the individual who swung a large sword at him, resulting in a cut on his back. Similarly, a 20-year-old man reported that Singh struck him with the same sword, inflicting cuts on his left leg, left forearm, right thumb, and palm. Additionally, a 21-year-old man sustained deep cuts on his right foot and leg after being targeted by Singh’s sword swing.

Assault and Property Damage

Another 20-year-old man recounted that multiple assailants entered his bedroom, assaulting him with a wooden object and subsequently punching him with closed fists. The attackers also utilized a black handgun to strike him, resulting in bruising and swelling.

Meanwhile, a separate 20-year-old man revealed that several males entered his bedroom and subjected him to multiple punches with closed fists. Fortunately, he did not report any immediate injuries.

Weapons Recovered and Victims Hospitalized

The police successfully recovered both the black handgun and the large metal sword used during the assault. All four victims who sustained injuries were promptly transported to a nearby hospital by a Nassau County police ambulance, where they received necessary medical treatment.

Singh now faces multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree burglary, one count each of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, first-degree gang assault, second-degree attempted murder, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree criminal mischief.
