Police Arrest Girlfriend of Romeo Nance, Accused Shooter in Illinois Family Homicides
Police in Illinois have arrested Kyleigh Cleveland-Singleton, the girlfriend of Romeo Nance, the shooter accused of killing seven family members in a series of homicides at two homes last weekend. Nance later took his own life in Texas.
The Joliet Police Department announced that 21-year-old Kyleigh Cleveland-Singleton is now in custody at the Will County Adult Detention Facility, charged with Obstructing Justice.
According to the police, Cleveland-Singleton willingly went to the Joliet Police Department for questioning in connection with the homicides. After questioning, detectives believed that she made statements to hinder the suspect’s apprehension and obstruct the investigation.
Romeo Nance was eventually located by U.S. Marshals in Natalia, Texas, on Monday evening. Following a confrontation with law enforcement, Nance fatally shot himself with a handgun.
