Man Missing from Harlan County Found Dead

HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. – The lifeless body of a man who had been reported missing from Harlan County has been discovered, according to authorities.

Kentucky State Police received a call from the Harlan Police Department on Wednesday morning regarding the discovery of a deceased male near the railroad tracks in the Sunshine community.

After identification, the body was confirmed to be that of Jerry Foley, a 34-year-old man who was last seen on January 15 in the Mary Alice community.

The Kentucky State Police have arranged for an autopsy of Foley’s body at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort to determine the cause of death.

The investigation into Foley’s death is still ongoing, and authorities are working to gather more information and evidence.
