Man in Critical Condition After Domestic Disturbance in Albany, Oregon

A 30-year-old man, identified as Lucas Forbes, is currently in critical condition at a hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to the head during a domestic disturbance involving his girlfriend, according to the Albany Police Department.

The incident took place in the early morning hours of Thursday near the 600 block of 34th Ave. SE in Albany. At approximately 2:13 a.m., the man’s roommate made a 911 call, reporting that the man had been shot by his girlfriend at their residence.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim near the front door, suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. The Albany Fire Department provided immediate life-saving measures before transporting him to the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Corvallis, where he remains in critical condition.

The girlfriend, identified as 24-year-old Hami W. Lee, was contacted by the police after the incident. Authorities reported that Lee cooperated with investigators at the scene. Subsequently, she was taken into custody and is now facing charges of second-degree assault, menacing, and unlawful use of a weapon.
