Joliet Teenager Charged with First-Degree Murder in North Austin Shooting

A Joliet teenager has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the tragic shooting of a 17-year-old girl in the North Austin neighborhood, according to the Chicago police. The incident occurred on August 19, 2023.

The identity of the teenager has not been disclosed as he is being charged as a juvenile. However, law enforcement authorities apprehended him on Wednesday in the 1100 block of Mills Road in Joliet.
