Edmonton police are reaching out to the public to assist in locating one of the two suspects involved in an armed robbery that occurred on January 5th. Additionally, they are requesting help in identifying the second individual involved.

According to authorities, the incident took place at a convenience store near 89 Street and 118 Avenue around 11:45 p.m. Two men entered the store, with one of them brandishing a firearm and pointing it at the cashier while demanding money. The second suspect threatened the employee with bear spray. The perpetrators proceeded to steal merchandise and cash from the register before fleeing the scene.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the 31-year-old suspect who was holding the firearm during the robbery. The police have identified him as Darius John Morgan Brertton.

To aid in the identification process, the police have released a photo that includes an image of the second suspect. Described as approximately 5’10” tall, the individual was wearing a white face covering, a dark grey jacket, blue jeans, and a black toque.

Authorities are urging the public to exercise caution and not approach the suspects as they are considered armed and dangerous.
