County Dave McDaniel of WESH Two News is reporting on the latest development in Brevard County. The police have announced a second arrest in the case of the killings of two teenagers on Christmas Day, 2022, in an area known as The Compound in Palm Bay. The suspect is a 17-year-old who has also been indicted in this case. Due to their age, we are refraining from naming the individual. The investigators had previously arrested an 18-year-old, Jamarcus Simpson, in connection with the crime.

Police: 2 suspects indicted after Palm Bay teens killed at The Compound

According to the Palm Bay police, a grand jury has indicted two suspects following the tragic deaths of two teenagers in 2022. The victims, 14-year-old Jeremiah Brown and 16-year-old Travon Anthony, were fatally shot at The Compound in Palm Bay on Christmas Day in 2022. The police have identified Jamarcus Simpson, 18, as one of the suspects, who was taken into custody in December. On Wednesday, Simpson was indicted on two counts of first-degree premeditated murder and robbery. Another suspect, a 17-year-old individual whose name we are withholding, has also been indicted on two counts of first-degree premeditated murder.
In a news release, Palm Bay police expressed their condolences to the families of Jeremiah Brown and Travon Anthony, stating, “Our heartfelt prayers go out to the families. Thank you for your strength and understanding over the past year as we worked diligently to find those responsible.” The community has been deeply affected by this tragic incident, and there have been concerns about crimes at The Compound. WESH 2 News has conducted an investigation into these concerns and the residents of Palm Bay demand action to address the issue.
