Four Famous Thai TikTokers Arrested for Brutal Attack on Woman

Police have arrested four well-known Thai TikTokers after they allegedly brutally assaulted a Thai woman in a condominium near Bangkok. The attack is believed to have been triggered by suspicions that the victim and her friend disclosed information about their illegal business on social media.

The victim, 18-year-old Autsamanee, also known as Gam, reported the incident to the police, stating that she was viciously assaulted by four individuals in her condominium room on January 22. She suffered serious injuries, including a broken left arm, a brain injury, and wounds to her body and face. The attackers filmed the assault and shared the videos on Instagram before they were deleted. Fortunately, Gam’s friend, 17-year-old Narinthorn, managed to save the video as evidence.

The four attackers, identified as Nuttawut (28), Kritsada (19), Aiyada (19), and Thotsuthee (16), were acquaintances of Gam and Narinthorn. They accused the victims of exposing Nuttawut’s illegal business to the public. According to Narinthorn, the attackers initially intended to target him, but he had already moved to live with his family in another province. Gam warned him not to return to Nonthaburi, which led the attackers to assault her instead.

Police investigations revealed that one of the attackers had a key to Gam’s condo room, as they used to live together before the dispute. The group entered the room while Gam and her five friends were asleep and launched the attack. They also threatened to harm Gam’s friends if anyone intervened. Before leaving, the attackers left 4,000 baht in what seemed to be compensation money. The assault video was later shared on Twitter by the account Red Skull.

Arrest and Charges

The police arrested the four attackers on January 24, and initially charged them with three offenses:

  • Section 310 of the Criminal Law: retraining or confining another person, which carries a penalty of imprisonment for up to three years, a fine of up to 60,000 baht, or both.
  • Section 295 of the Criminal Law: physically assaulting another person, which carries a penalty of imprisonment for up to two years, a fine of up to 40,000 baht, or both.
  • Section 328 of the Criminal Law: defaming another person by publicizing a document, drawing, painting, film, picture, or letter, which carries a penalty of imprisonment for up to two years and a fine of up to 200,000 baht.

The attackers may also face charges under the Computer Act, although the details have not been disclosed by the police.

Channel 7 reported that the suspects refused to give interviews or answer questions from the media.
