In a shocking turn of events, Heather Stines, a 45-year old woman, has been apprehended by authorities in Brooklyn following the horrifying discovery of a decapitated body and various body parts sealed with tape in a freezer. This chilling incident came to light on Monday at approximately 6:15 am local time, revealing a disturbing crime scene.

Acting on a tip-off regarding a potential body stored in a residential building, law enforcement agents promptly responded to the information. Upon investigation, they were led to an apartment on the fourth floor, where the gruesome finding was made.

Chief Joseph Kenny, the Head of Detectives of the New York Police Department, shared details about the case, stating, “During the patrol’s investigation, they stumbled upon some body parts in the freezer. Currently, we are trying to establish the identity of the victim.” He further added, “We found a head. We found some limbs. It appears that it’s a complete body that we have here.”

Amy Stines, Heather Stines’ 79-year-old aunt, expressed her disbelief and grief, saying, “Oh God, I can’t fathom this.” She recounted her niece’s past struggles with substance abuse, noting that Heather had relocated from Kentucky to the Brooklyn apartment in hopes of leaving behind her drug-related past. According to Amy Stines, Heather supported herself by taking up cleaning jobs and was residing with her husband in Brooklyn.

Heather Stines’ husband, Nicholas McGee, has been incarcerated in Virginia since September on charges related to fraud. Amy Stines recalled her unsuccessful attempts to reach her niece on the previous Sunday, heightening her concerns.

Catherine McGee, the sister of Nicholas McGee, disclosed that both Heather and Nicholas had a history of drug abuse. She revealed that the couple had previously been involved with heroin and crack cocaine, resulting in multiple arrests. Catherine also shared that Heather had suffered a relapse approximately a year or two ago after the tragic loss of one of her daughters to a drug overdose.
