Three people were killed in a tragic head-on collision between a lorry and a truck in Mymensingh’s Tarakanda upazila this morning. The incident occurred on the Mymensingh-Sherpur road in the Taaldighi area at around 7:30 am.

The victims have been identified as Kamrul Islam, a 22-year-old lorry driver, and two passengers named Abdul Kadir, aged 45, and Mizanur Rahman, aged 48. All three individuals hailed from Haluaghat upazila of Mymensingh.

According to Md Wazed Ali, the officer-in-charge of Tarakanda Police Station, the accident took place when a Dhaka-bound lorry from Sherpur collided head-on with a truck. Kamrul, the lorry driver, died on the spot, while the two passengers sustained injuries. Unfortunately, the injured individuals were pronounced dead upon arrival at the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH).

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and seized the vehicles involved in the collision.
