09:55 SAN JOSE – Two individuals have been arrested in San Jose on homicide charges after a man was discovered dead in an RV earlier this month, according to a statement released by the San Jose Police Department. The incident occurred on Jan. 11 when officers were called to the area of Kruse Drive and Montague Expressway in North San Jose at approximately 10:50 p.m. Upon arrival, police located an adult male inside the RV who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initially, due to the advanced stage of decomposition, it was not immediately apparent that the man’s death was the result of foul play. However, after an investigation conducted by the San Jose police and the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office, the Chief Medical Examiner determined that the man’s death was indeed a homicide. Physical trauma was discovered on the victim’s body, leading to this conclusion.

This incident marks the third homicide in San Jose in 2024. The identity of the victim is currently being withheld pending confirmation and notification of next of kin. Homicide detectives have been diligently working on the case and have successfully identified two suspects. On Jan. 19, both suspects, identified as 27-year-old Mario Espinoza and 30-year-old Michael Anaya, were arrested in San Jose.

Both individuals have been booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of homicide. As per jail records, they are being held without bail. The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
