LaSalle Man Charged with First-Degree Murder in Lakeshore

Essex County OPP have recently revealed the name of the individual accused of committing first-degree murder in Lakeshore. The suspect, Glen Mayer, a 47-year-old resident of LaSalle, has been apprehended and is currently in police custody.

On January 20th, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted by the LaSalle Police Service about an individual who voluntarily turned himself in following a shooting incident on Faleria Street in Lakeshore. The authorities swiftly responded to the situation and launched an investigation. Unfortunately, the victim, identified as 47-year-old Tony Bechara from Windsor, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

The Essex County OPP Crime Unit, in collaboration with the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, the LaSalle Police Service, the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario, and the Centre of Forensic Sciences, is now intensively working on the ongoing investigation.
