Tragic Crash Claims Four Lives in Johnston County, North Carolina

SMITHFIELD, N.C. – In a devastating incident, four individuals lost their lives in a fatal crash that occurred in Johnston County on Monday morning, according to a statement released by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

The accident took place at approximately 2:39 a.m. on Monday, leading to the closure of a section of I-95 northbound at mile marker 93 on Brogden Road.

North Carolina State Troopers reported that the vehicle involved in the crash was traveling at an alarmingly high rate of speed, with a radar clocking its speed at an astounding 104 mph.

A trooper, stationed in the median at the time, attempted to catch up with the speeding vehicle but refrained from initiating a traffic stop or pursuit.

The driver has been identified as 17-year-old Alan Lee Lockamy.

Before the trooper could even attempt to follow the speeding vehicle, the driver tried to exit the ramp at the 93-mile marker. Unfortunately, the vehicle veered off the road, colliding with several trees on the left side.

Tragically, both the driver and the front seat passenger became entrapped in the vehicle, while the two back seat passengers were forcefully ejected from the car due to the impact of the crash.

Regrettably, all four occupants of the vehicle succumbed to their injuries and lost their lives at the scene of the crash.

The driver, who has been identified as 17-year-old Alan Lee Lockamy, tragically perished in the accident.

The other victims were identified as Freddy Seras, 17, who was seated in the front seat, and Semaj Lejai Williams, 16, and Christopher Wayne Jackson, 17, who were in the back seat of the vehicle, according to the troopers’ report.

As authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident, our thoughts and condolences go out to the families and friends of the victims who have been left devastated by this devastating crash.
