WOODBRIDGE, Va. Triple Homicide Suspect Arrested in El Salvador

A man wanted in connection with a triple homicide in Prince William County has been apprehended in El Salvador, according to local authorities.

Donald Antonio Barahona Quinonez, 28, was discovered and arrested on Monday by the Special Forces of the National Civil Police in El Salvador. Barahona Quinonez is a suspect in the shooting deaths of three individuals and the injury of a fourth on May 26, 2023. The incident occurred after a heated altercation in the 14700 block of Birchdale Ave. in Woodbridge, a town located in Prince William County.

The victims have been identified as Edwin Geovanny Salmeron, 37, Luis Alonzo Salgado-Rivas, 41, and Kevin Josue Vallecillo Mendoza, 23.

Prince William County police are collaborating with federal partners and authorities in El Salvador to facilitate Barahona Quinonez’s extradition back to the United States. The purpose of the extradition is to proceed with court proceedings related to the ongoing investigation.
