Two killed and Six Injured in Separate Incidents in Taxila and Attock

In a series of tragic events, two people lost their lives while six others sustained injuries in various incidents that occurred in different parts of Wah and Attock districts on Sunday, according to reliable sources.

Discovery of Bullet-Riddled Body Sparks Investigation

The first incident unfolded when the lifeless body of a man, identified as Zahid Mehmood, was discovered inside a car parked amidst wheat fields near Jallala village, falling under the jurisdiction of Wah Saddar Police station. The body, riddled with bullet wounds, was found by passersby who immediately alerted the authorities. Zahid Mehmood’s belongings, including his mobile phone and other valuables, were missing from the scene. The police promptly shifted the body to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospital in Taxila for further investigation.

Elderly Man Fatally Crushed by Unknown Vehicle

In a separate incident, an unidentified elderly man in his 60s fell victim to a hit-and-run accident within the jurisdiction of Hazro Police Station. The accident occurred when an unknown vehicle struck the man, resulting in his untimely demise. Local rescue officials swiftly transported the deceased to THQ for identification purposes.

Multiple Injuries Caused by Fog-Related Accidents

Moreover, six individuals sustained injuries in three distinct incidents caused by dense fog in various parts of Attock.

According to police sources, the first incident transpired when a car collided with a passenger van due to poor visibility caused by fog. Subsequently, another van and a loader rickshaw crashed into the vehicles as well. As a result of this chain reaction, two individuals named Sartaj and Adnan sustained injuries on Kohat Road, falling under the jurisdiction of Jand Police Station, during the early hours of Sunday.

In the second incident, a passenger van collided head-on with a dumper due to zero visibility on Rawalpindi-Fatehjang road near the Hattar check post. Within the van, two individuals named Faisal Mehmood and Muhammad Nazar suffered injuries.

Furthermore, a tractor collided with a pickup truck due to the thick fog near Baryar Chowk, which falls within the premises of Attock Police Station. As a result, two individuals identified as Abdul Rehman and Ibrar Khan sustained injuries. All the injured victims were promptly transported to various hospitals in the area. Separate cases have been registered by the respective police stations, and investigations are underway.

Successful Arrests of Proclaimed Offenders (POs)

During a recent crackdown, the police in Wah and Attock managed to apprehend several proclaimed offenders (POs) wanted in various criminal cases.

The Wah Cantonment Police successfully arrested Inyat, who was wanted in an attempted murder case. Likewise, Fatehjang Police apprehended two women who were also wanted in connection with an attempted murder case.

In a separate operation, Jand Police arrested Muhammad Aqib, a suspect involved in a theft case. Additionally, Attock Khurd Police successfully captured Umair Ul Haq, who had a warrant against him in a cheque dishonour case, and Irfan Khan, who was wanted for theft.

Abduction of a 14-Year-Old Girl

In a shocking development, a teenage girl was abducted by a man and his two accomplices within the jurisdiction of Taxila Police Station on Sunday. The father of the victim, Ishfaq Ahmed, reported that his 14-year-old daughter was on her way to visit relatives when she was forcibly taken away by Imran and his associates. The Taxila Police promptly registered a case and initiated a search operation to recover the abducted girl.

These incidents have caused distress and concern among the local communities. Authorities are working diligently to bring the culprits to justice and ensure the safety and security of the residents.
