Revelations from Depositions Shed Light on the Tragic Incident

According to a deposition obtained by Patch, Clark voluntarily turned himself in at the Tuscaloosa County Jail shortly after the shooting. During the investigation, Clark admitted that he and Booth had been assaulted at the party on Pate Road and were ordered to leave.

Court documents reveal that Booth confessed to being attacked at the party and subsequently drove Clark to his residence to retrieve two firearms. Clark acknowledged firing his weapon, injuring multiple individuals during the chaotic events at the party. Notably, there is no mention of any retaliatory gunfire in the depositions of the three suspects.

In his deposition, Smith admitted to accompanying Clark to his residence in Booth’s truck. Smith corroborated Clark’s statements regarding his intentions before the shooting. Witnesses at the scene reported to law enforcement that Smith exited the truck armed with a gun, alongside Clark.

All three suspects are currently held without bond at the Tuscaloosa County Jail. Hearings to determine the application of Aniah’s Law, which allows judges to consider denying bond to violent offenders, are scheduled for Thursday.
