(SIOUX NARROWS-NESTOR FALLS, ON) – Individual Charged with Impaired Driving Following Report of Erratic Driving

Highlighting the ongoing issue of impaired driving, an incident in Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls township has led to the arrest and charging of an individual after a report of erratic driving.

On the afternoon of January 20, 2024, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) promptly responded to a traffic complaint regarding a vehicle exhibiting erratic driving behavior on Highway 71 in the Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls Township. The OPP officers swiftly located and successfully intercepted the vehicle in question.

Subsequent investigations carried out by the authorities revealed that the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The driver, identified as Nathan JACK, a 39-year-old resident of Morson, was immediately arrested and transported to the Kenora OPP Detachment for further assessment and testing.

Following the comprehensive tests conducted, Nathan JACK now faces multiple charges under the Criminal Code, including:

• Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and drugs
• Operation of a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit

Post-arrest, Mr. JACK has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora on February 8, 2024.
