Tragic Road Accident Claims Lives of Mother and Son in Asifabad

Hyderabad: A devastating road accident in Asifabad took the lives of a woman and her son on Sunday. The accident occurred when a lorry collided with their bike, resulting in their immediate death at the spot. The victims were identified as 36-year-old Banu and her 16-year-old son, Shaik Asif. Meanwhile, Asif’s father is currently fighting for his life in the hospital.

The accident took place near a forest department checking point as the family was returning to their house in Asifabad Town. Unfortunately, the trio was triple-riding on the bike when the tragic collision occurred. The impact of the collision was so severe that Banu and Shaik Asif lost their lives instantly.

Local police have registered a case under section 304(a) of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with negligence causing death. Investigations are underway to determine the exact circumstances and factors that led to the accident.

In another unfortunate incident, a pillion rider lost their life after the driver rammed the vehicle into a divider in Adilabad district. The victim, identified as 44-year-old S Ashok, died on the spot, while the driver of the vehicle sustained injuries but managed to escape.
