“Man Arrested for Highway Robbery: Kiran Rindhe Victim of Robbery in Nandgaon”

NASHIK: Authorities in Nandgaon have apprehended a man, along with his associates, for their involvement in a highway robbery. The incident occurred in the Kasari ghat section, where the perpetrators targeted a truck driver carrying cotton bundles to Gujarat.

The arrested individual has been identified as Karan Sanjay Pawar, a resident of Dheku village in Nandgaon taluka. The Nandgaon police successfully apprehended Pawar, while his accomplices managed to flee the scene.

The robbery took place on the night of January 18 when the truck driver, Kiran Rindhe from Bolthan, Nandgaon, was passing through the Kasari ghat section. At approximately 10 pm, a group of four to five individuals began pelting stones at Rindhe’s truck, shattering the windows of the driver’s cabin.

Despite the attack, Rindhe courageously decided not to stop the truck and managed to escape from the scene. He immediately contacted his brother and informed him about the incident, revealing that the attackers had attempted to halt the truck in order to rob him.

Rindhe then halted the truck near a temple on the highway, where he discovered another truck that had been similarly damaged. Upon questioning the driver of the second truck, Rindhe learned that he had also been targeted by the same group of individuals. They had stopped his truck, robbed him of his cash and cellphones, and subsequently fled the area.

In the meantime, Rindhe’s brother gathered a group of individuals and quickly arrived at the Kasari ghat section. They managed to apprehend Karan Pawar, one of the robbers, while the others managed to evade capture. Pawar was subsequently taken to the police station.

During the investigation, the police recovered a significant amount of cash and several cellphones, collectively valued at over Rs 13,000. The Nandgaon police are currently working to trace and apprehend the remaining robbers involved in the case.

This incident highlights the bravery and quick thinking of Kiran Rindhe, who managed to escape the clutches of the robbers and assist in the capture of one of the culprits. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and reporting crimes promptly to the authorities.
