According to NCHP Sgt. SB Lewis, the devastating collision occurred on Highway 211 at Lewis McNeill Road near Red Springs. It was at this intersection that a car, driven by Haithem Allan, failed to stop at a sign and collided with another vehicle. The impact of the crash caused the second car to erupt in flames, leading to the death of one passenger and causing injuries to the remaining occupants.
Following a thorough investigation, Haithem Allan has been identified as the driver who ran the stop sign. As a result, Allan has now been charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle, a serious offense that carries significant legal implications.
