Suspect Arrested for Attempted Murder in Half Moon Bay Shooting

A suspect has been apprehended and arrested for attempted murder following a shooting at a housing complex in Half Moon Bay, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office (SMCSO). The incident occurred at approximately 7:09 p.m. on Saturday in the Moonridge Housing Community.

The victim, a male individual, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital. At present, his condition remains unknown.

The Moonridge Housing Community, situated at 2001 Miramontes Point Road, serves as an affordable housing complex for farmworker families residing in San Mateo County. Arrest of the Suspect

The suspect involved in the shooting has been identified as 18-year-old Orlando Montelongochavarin, a resident of San Mateo County. Following an intensive investigation throughout the night, detectives from the SMCSO issued an arrest warrant for Montelongochavarin on Sunday.

Shortly after the warrant was issued, law enforcement officials successfully located and apprehended the suspect without incident.
