Toronto Police Identify Suspect in Downtown Break-and-Enter Investigation

Toronto police have successfully identified one of the two men wanted in connection with an ongoing break-and-enter investigation in the downtown area.

According to investigators, between December 10th and December 11th, 2023, a man was repeatedly observed entering the underground parking lot of a building located in the vicinity of Bay Street and Wellesley Street. During his visits, the suspect unlawfully accessed a storage locker within the premises.

Law enforcement officials have confirmed that a second individual was also captured on surveillance footage entering the underground parking garage alongside the primary suspect. Together, they made off with several items from the storage locker, including two firearms of significant concern. The stolen weapons consist of a Winchester Model 94 Carbine 30-30 Leveler Action and a Remington Pump Action .22 Caliber.

The identified suspect has been named as 39-year-old Christopher Pouliot, a resident of Toronto. Pouliot is described as approximately five-foot-nine in height, weighing around 155 pounds, and possessing a medium build. He has short brown hair and hazel eyes. During his last sighting, Pouliot was seen wearing blue jeans, dark shoes, a red and black Roots varsity jacket adorned with the number “98” on the left arm, which also features a Canadian Olympics logo, and a black vest. It is worth mentioning that during his initial entry into the building, he was seen wearing a black jacket.

Christopher Pouliot is now facing a total of 15 charges, including five counts of break-and-enter and theft, as well as seven counts of failing to comply with probation.

While Pouliot has been identified, police are still actively searching for the second suspect involved in the incident. The unidentified individual was last seen wearing dark pants, dark boots, a dark toque, a camouflage jacket, and carrying a bright red backpack featuring yellow cartoon characters.
