The victim, identified as Clinton “Clint” Dorsey, 51, was allegedly shot by McBride in the middle of the street in front of multiple witnesses. These witnesses reported seeing Dorsey dragging the body into the nearby woods. The court records obtained by Law&Crime stated that McBride and Dorsey were known to each other and had an ongoing dispute.

The incident was initially reported by multiple callers who witnessed the murder. One caller mentioned that a person named Travis, described as an older white man, had killed Clint and taken the body with him. Another caller, a woman identified as W1, whispered that the person who committed the murder was standing at the door of a specific address.

When the police arrived at the scene, they found W1, who revealed that McBride had come to her home the previous night looking for Dorsey. W1 described Dorsey as a well-known homeless man who lived in the woods across the street. McBride allegedly told W1 that Dorsey had done something to harm his dogs.

W1 stated that she saw McBride shooting Dorsey and heard approximately eight to nine shots being fired. She also witnessed McBride dragging Dorsey’s body across the street towards the wooded area. W1 expressed fear towards McBride due to his aggressive behavior with a gun.

In addition, McBride’s red Nissan hatchback car was found in a parking lot down the block from the car wash.

Upon inspecting the trunk of the car, the police discovered what appeared to be a body. The man in the trunk was later identified as Dorsey and was declared deceased by the officers.

McBride was taken into custody and requested an attorney, leading the police to end their interview. He appeared in court on Friday but did not enter a plea.
