Norfolk Police Conclude Investigation into Quadruple death

The tragic incident unfolded when officers received a 999 call from the home shortly before the bodies were discovered. However, they were not deployed until a second call from another concerned individual prompted their immediate response. Norfolk Police has referred itself to the Independent Office of Police Conduct as a result.

Detectives from the Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team have since ruled out any third-party involvement, stating that they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident. Detective Chief Inspector Chris Burgess, who is leading the investigation, said, “We’ve spoken to witnesses and neighbors, carried out house-to-house inquiries, examined local CCTV, and completed initial scene investigations. As a result of this, we’re not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.”

Post-Mortem Examinations

Post-mortem examinations will be carried out for the man and woman on Sunday, January 21, and for the two girls on Wednesday, January 24. The cause of death will not be disclosed until these examinations have taken place.

Community Impact

This tragic incident has caused shock and upset in the local community. Uniformed officers have been patrolling the area to provide reassurance, and this will continue in the coming days.

Victim Identification

The man and two children found dead at the house have been identified as Bartlomiej Kuczynski, 45, his 12-year-old daughter Jasmin, and her seven-year-old sister. The 36-year-old woman, who was also found deceased, is yet to be named. It has been confirmed that the man and children lived at the house, while the woman, although related, did not reside there and was only visiting.

Prior Police Involvement

The Norfolk Police force has referred itself to the Independent Office of Police Conduct for attending the home on December 14 in connection with a missing person enquiry. Reports suggest that Mr. Kuczynski was the person reported missing last month.

Community Remembers the Victims

Locals have fondly remembered the two young girls, describing them as “lovely” and “beautiful.” Neighbors recall seeing them walking around together and looking happy when out with friends. Jocelyn Atienza, a neighbor, said, “The older one would catch the bus to school, and her little sister would walk to the primary school by herself. Their mother was friendly, and we always used to say hi hello to each other in the street.”
