Man Hospitalized in October Crash Pronounced Dead, Las Vegas Police Report
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has recently been informed by the Clark County Coroner’s office that a man who was hospitalized after a crash in October has tragically succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Emory Garry, a resident of Las Vegas.

According to the official notification received on Thursday, October 28, 2023, Garry passed away four days after being struck by a car in the east valley area. The incident occurred on October 24, 2023, at approximately 7:10 p.m., near the intersection of Sloan Lane and Whispering Pines Avenue, close to Charleston Boulevard.
Las Vegas police responded to a crash report, and upon investigation, it was revealed that a Hyundai Elantra was traveling north on Sloan Lane, approaching the intersection. Garry, who was riding his bicycle outside of the implied crosswalk, suddenly made a right turn, directly entering the path of the Hyundai. The collision between the two vehicles transpired at that moment, resulting in the tragic accident.
The injured bicyclist was swiftly transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. However, despite the best efforts of the medical staff, Garry was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The driver of the Hyundai, who remained at the scene following the incident, showed no signs of impairment, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
