Peel Regional Police Issue Statewide Arrest Warrant for Suspected Shooter in Brampton

Peel Regional Police Service detectives have recently announced the issuance of a statewide arrest warrant for the suspected shooter responsible for the tragic killing of an 18-year-old boy in Brampton, Ontario last month. The incident has left the community in shock and mourning.

On December 19, 2023, local hospital authorities alerted the police about the admission of the victim, Nishan Thind, who had sustained a gunshot wound. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, the young man succumbed to his injuries.

According to authorities, the victim was shot at an undisclosed location and was later rushed to the hospital for treatment. The exact circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unknown, and the police are actively investigating the case.

The Peel Regional Police Service, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, executed a search warrant at a residence in Brampton on Tuesday, January 9. As a result, an 18-year-old male suspect, believed to be an accomplice in the commission of an indictable offense, was apprehended.
