Tragic Accident Claims the Life of 23-Year-Old Katie M. Anderson in Wrightwood

WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A devastating crash occurred on Friday morning in the serene mountain community of Wrightwood, resulting in the untimely death of a young woman identified as Katie M. Anderson, aged 23.

Emergency personnel swiftly responded to the scene of the accident at approximately 10:45 am on January 19, 2024. The collision took place on Highway 2 at Scrub Oak Drive, just a few miles away from Highway 138.

According to the incident logs of the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a silver Honda Civic and a silver Ford F-150 pickup truck.

Katie Anderson, a resident of Wrightwood, tragically lost her life at the scene of the accident, despite the valiant efforts of firefighter paramedics from the San Bernardino County Fire Department. An occupant of the other vehicle involved was rushed to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.
