Delivery Man Scotty Jackson Allegedly Beaten to death in Texas

Texas man Scotty Jackson has tragically lost his life in a shocking incident that took place on Saturday, January 13, 2024. The authorities have identified 27-year-old Chrisantus Omondi as the suspect in connection to Jackson’s fatal beating. According to reports, Omondi attacked two men, resulting in the death of Jackson and injuries to the other man. Charges have been filed against the alleged attacker.
In the wake of this devastating incident, a GoFundMe fundraiser has been launched to help cover Jackson’s funeral expenses. With an initial target of $5,000, the fundraiser has already surpassed expectations, raising more than $10,500. Jackson was working at the time of the attack, delivering wood in Fort Worth.

The horrific incident occurred on Saturday, January 13, when Scotty Jackson was allegedly attacked and beaten to death by a naked drug addict. The recipient of the firewood, who wishes to remain anonymous, recounted the events to WFAA:
“As we were loading up the wheelbarrow, this random guy shows up and gets directly in my face and confronts me and accuses me of being on his property, being in his house, and he never wants to see us again.”
According to the recipient, he had arranged for the delivery of firewood in preparation for an upcoming storm. A GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up for Jackson, with the post stating:
“My dad Scotty Edward Jackson, was murdered on 01-13-2024 while delivering firewood when a drug addict beat him with firewood. Raising money for funeral expenses.”
The post further explains:
“He did firewood on the side to make extra money, and with Texas experiencing cold weather, he was making sure everyone was stocked up with firewood.”
The suspect faces murder charges
During the confrontation between Chrisantus Omondi and the two men, including the victim Scotty Jackson, Omondi picked up a piece of firewood and launched a violent attack. Unfortunately, 51-year-old Jackson suffered fatal injuries, while the other man managed to survive the assault. The survivor immediately called 911, recalling:
“When he was pursuing me and attacking me, I was looking death in the face.”
After the attack, the alleged attacker reportedly returned to a nearby Airbnb, where he had been renting a room. Another tenant in a separate room reported that Omondi remained naked and was yelling even after returning to the property. Law enforcement arrived at the scene and had to use a taser to subdue Omondi, as he refused to comply with their commands. Omondi is currently being held at the Tarrant County Corrections Center, and a bond of $300,000 has been set. Kasey De Leon, as reported by WFAA, fondly remembered Jackson, saying:
“He’d always do something funny. He would just randomly start dancing or make a joke. I’d be like, ‘Dad, you’re so embarrassing.’ I wish I could just tell him so bad. Embarrass me one more time, annoy me one more time.”
The suspect has been charged with murder, aggravated assault of a security officer, and obstruction or retaliation in connection to Scotty Jackson’s tragic death.
