Elderly Man Found Dead in Lake After Fishing Trip in Palm Harbor, Florida
PALM HARBOR, Fla. –
An 85-year-old Clearwater man’s body was discovered in Lake St. George after he was reported missing following a fishing trip, according to officials.
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has revealed that the Clearwater Police Department sought assistance in locating Clouster Bryant.
Authorities state that Bryant frequently visited Lake St. George for fishing, prompting deputies to respond to the lake on Friday at approximately 7 p.m. to aid in the search. During the investigation, law enforcement discovered Bryant’s pickup truck at the north boat ramp of Lake St. George.
Responding to the situation, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit and Flight Unit joined forces to conduct an extensive search operation.

Deputies later discovered a small capsized John Boat on the south side of the lake. Upon closer inspection, officials confirmed that the body found alongside the boat belonged to Bryant.
The sheriff’s office confirms that Bryant was wearing a life jacket and his fishing equipment was recovered along with his body. No visible signs of recent damage were observed on the boat, according to the sheriff’s deputies.
Authorities have determined that there is no evidence suggesting foul play in the elderly man’s demise.
Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has already notified Bryant’s next of kin, and the investigation remains ongoing.
