Accident – death – Obituary News : Murder of Security Guard and Kidnapping of Young Man in Rawalpindi Raises Concerns

Rawalpindi was shaken by two disturbing incidents recently, as a security guard was brutally murdered in a government-owned housing society, while a young man was allegedly kidnapped by a group of unidentified individuals, some of whom were wearing police uniforms. According to sources, Rashid Iqbal had his jugular vein cut with a blunt weapon, and his body was callously discarded in the Nullah. SHO Police Station (PS) Saddar Bairooni Sub Inspector Nadim Zafar confirmed the occurrence of the murder, stating that Rashid Iqbal was a resident of Bakra Mandi and originally hailed from Choha Khalsa Kahuta. He was working as a laborer and security guard to make ends meet. The police believe that the motive behind the murder could be an old enmity, but the investigation is still ongoing.

In a separate incident, a group of unidentified individuals, some of whom were dressed in Punjab police uniforms, allegedly kidnapped a young man named Zain Ijaz Mashih from High Court Road. The brother of the missing young man, Junaid Ijaz, has approached CPO Rawalpindi Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, seeking his assistance in rescuing his brother from the clutches of the kidnappers.

According to eyewitnesses, Zain Ijaz Mashih was driving his car when he was intercepted by a group of unknown individuals traveling in a white-colored car on High Court Road at around 6:30 pm on January 18. Four individuals, wearing police uniforms, forcibly removed Zain from his vehicle and bundled him into their car before speeding away to an undisclosed location. The kidnappers also seized the victim’s car during the incident.
