The Parañaque City Police-Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) has successfully conducted a buy-bust operation resulting in the confiscation of approximately P680,000 worth of suspected shabu from a 40-year-old woman on the night of January 19.

According to the Southern Police District (SPD), the suspect, known only as “Marie” and residing in Zapote 1, Bacoor, Cavite, was apprehended at approximately 11:15 p.m. along Dasa, Barangay San Isidro, Parañaque City.

During the operation, SDEU operatives were able to seize a knot-tied plastic sachet containing around 100 grams of suspected shabu from the suspect. The confiscated illegal substance is believed to have a street value of P680,000.

Following her arrest, the suspect was immediately detained at the Parañaque police custodial facility for alleged violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
