“37-Year-Old New Ulm Man Causes Disturbance at Kwik Trip, Multiple Incidents Reported”

Accident – Death – Obituary News : New Ulm Police Receive Suspicious Activity Report at Kwik Trip

New Ulm, UK – In a recent incident, the New Ulm Police Department received a suspicious activity report from Kwik Trip, located at 1521 S. Broadway. The incident occurred on January 18 at 9:28 am. The suspect, later identified as a 37-year-old man from New Ulm, caused a disturbance in the store and left before the police arrived. To ensure proper documentation, a report was filed and sent to the Brown County Human Services and the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

The 37-year-old man has been involved in multiple incidents with the police since then. On the same day, at 12:11 pm, the police received a public assistance call from the 800 block. A concerned mother reached out to the police regarding the wellbeing of her son, who happened to be the same 37-year-old man. Reports were filed for documentation purposes and were also sent to the Brown County Human Services and the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

Another incident involving the same man occurred at Anytime Fitness, located at 512 2nd St. S. The gym called the police at 2:39 pm to report a disturbing phone call with odd comments. The caller was later identified as the same individual. Police officers contacted him at his residence, and as with the previous incidents, reports were submitted to the county attorney and human services.

The New Ulm Country Club also reported an unsettling phone call about the same man at 5:13 pm on January 18. The caller, who appeared intoxicated or in a mental health crisis, expressed a desire to give a gift to a club member. Reports were made and sent to the county attorney and human services.

Additionally, the New Ulm Recreation Center, located at 512 2nd St. S., contacted the police at 2:30 pm on January 18 regarding a man who appeared to have a gun. The same man was located and subsequently transported to New Ulm Medical Center (NUMC) for a mental health evaluation. During the process, police seized three BB guns from the individual. Reports were submitted to human services and the county attorney for consideration of a disorderly conduct charge.

In a separate incident, the police responded to a report of a female who appeared to be passed out near Minnesota St. and 3rd St. South. The police found a 25-year-old woman from New Ulm. However, she was uncooperative with both the police and Allina Ambulance personnel. Despite her uncooperative behavior, she was eventually transported to NUMC for further evaluation. A report was filed for documentation purposes.
