Man Fatally Shot by Bike-borne Assailants in Noida

A 32-year-old man was tragically shot dead by bike-borne assailants in broad daylight in Sector 104 of Noida on Friday, as reported by The Indian Express.

The victim has been identified as Suraj Bhan, a resident of a high-rise building in Sector 100. The incident occurred between 2.30-3 PM. Bhan, who worked as a crew member with Air India, leaves behind his wife and a four-year-old daughter.

According to the police, the incident took place when Bhan was sitting in his car after finishing a workout session at Anytime Fitness Gym in Sector 104 market. He was shot at point-blank range, resulting in his immediate death. The Sector 39 police station has jurisdiction over the area where the incident occurred.

DCP Noida Harish Chander stated that the police promptly arrived at the scene and Bhan was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. His body was subsequently sent for post-mortem examination. In order to investigate the case, four teams have been assembled.

The police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify and track the assailants responsible for the attack.

Officials revealed that three unidentified miscreants fired multiple bullets at Bhan, causing him to sustain five gunshot wounds.

An FIR (First Information Report) has been registered against the unknown attackers.

While the motive behind the murder remains unclear, sources informed The Indian Express that the crime may be linked to Bhan’s brother, Sagar, who has been incarcerated for the past three years. It is believed that rivals of Sagar orchestrated the attack. Sagar himself is allegedly involved in the killing of two members from another gang and has previously faced charges under the Gangster Act and Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
