Teenager Arrested and Charged with Fatally Shooting Another Teen in Chatham Neighborhood
CHICAGO (CBS) – In a significant development, a teenage boy has been charged with the fatal shooting of another teen in the Chatham neighborhood of Chicago last year.

The arrest was made on Thursday by the Chicago Police Department and the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. The boy was apprehended in Lansing, specifically in the 18500 block of South Burnham Avenue. He now faces a felony count of first-degree murder.
According to the police, the boy has been identified as the perpetrator who shot and killed the 16-year-old victim in the 400 block of East 88th Street.
The victim, who was hit in the arm, chest, and chin, was immediately rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The police mentioned that the victim had been “uncooperative” during the investigation.
The offender has been taken into custody and charged accordingly.
