27-Year-Old Springfield Man Faces Murder Charges in Connection with Late 2023 Shooting

A 27-year-old Springfield resident has been apprehended and charged with murder following a fatal shooting incident that took place towards the end of last year in Chicago, Illinois.

Chicago police have confirmed that Jordan Allison is now facing one felony count of first-degree murder in relation to the aforementioned incident.

After an extensive investigation, Allison was arrested on January 16 in the 10000 block of W. Balmoral, where he had been identified as the primary suspect involved in the fatal shooting of a 29-year-old male victim on November 5, 2023.

The shooting incident occurred at a location in the 5600 block of S. Wabash, Chicago.

Authorities managed to locate and apprehend Allison in West Memphis, Arkansas. He was subsequently extradited to Chicago to face charges in connection with the murder.

A detention hearing has been scheduled for January 19 to determine the next course of action in this case.
