Manchester, UK – Two teenagers are facing a range of charges after Manchester police successfully connected them to a series of vehicle thefts that occurred over the summer. The investigation was initiated when several stolen vehicles were discovered along a stretch of Center Street in July and August, prompting the Manchester Police Department to take action.

The individuals have been identified as 18-year-old Xzhavier Archibald from Hartford and 18-year-old Janya Artis from Manchester.

The Manchester Police Department’s investigation conclusively linked the pair to a total of five vehicle thefts within the city. Following the collection of substantial evidence, authorities obtained warrants for the suspects’ arrest, charging them with multiple theft and related offenses.

Janya Artis has been charged with three counts of motor vehicle theft, three counts of conspiracy to commit motor vehicle theft, two counts of first-degree criminal trover, two counts of tampering with a motor vehicle, one count of sixth-degree larceny, and one count of illegal use of a payment card.

Xzhavier Archibald is facing charges of three counts of conspiracy to commit motor vehicle theft, two counts of motor vehicle theft, two counts of first-degree criminal trover, two counts of tampering with a motor vehicle, one count of first-degree conspiracy to commit criminal trover, one count of conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, one count of conspiracy to commit tampering with a motor vehicle, and one count of illegal use of a payment card.
