Accident – Death – Obituary News : Seven Texas Men Arrested for Gang-Raping Toddlers in Houston Mall Bathroom

In a shocking and horrifying incident that has left the nation reeling, seven Texas men were arrested last week for the gang rape of two toddlers in a bathroom at Houston’s Galleria Mall. The perpetrators, who filmed the heinous act and uploaded it to depraved online sites, have caused an outpouring of disgust and revulsion.

The suspected ringleader, 29-year-old Arthur Hector Fernandez, a mall worker, was apprehended in December and charged with assault. However, his accomplices have yet to be identified, leaving the community anxious for swift action from the police.

As a mother of six young children, including toddlers, the news of this unspeakable evil hit me on a deeply personal level. The maternal instinct within me reacted with a mixture of profound revulsion and a desire for justice. I couldn’t help but wonder how I would feel if my own children had been the victims of such unimaginable brutality.

It is only natural that parents everywhere would share in this sentiment – the belief that monsters like these men deserve nothing less than death. However, I must emphasize that I do not trust the current state, with its corrupted and politicized justice system, to appropriately administer capital punishment.

While capital punishment is technically legal in 27 states for the most heinous crimes, its practical implementation is fraught with complexities and uncertainties. Does the act of doling out death make us any better than the criminals we seek to punish? Can we ever be completely certain of a verdict, even with highly accurate DNA evidence?

Furthermore, the reality is that America has become a post-death penalty nation. In 2023, there were only 23 executions across the country, while over 2,300 inmates remain on death row, facing decades of legal appeals and delays. The likelihood of dying while waiting for execution is now higher than ever.

However, in a world where justice is truly served, it is difficult to accept that a life sentence is punishment enough for criminals who commit such heinous acts as the Texas pedophiles. The evidence against them is overwhelming, with their own filming and uploading of the abuse, as well as the identification of the ringleader by one of the victims’ mothers.

This case is not one of mistaken identity or questionable evidence. It is as close to an open-and-shut case as one can get. It brings to mind famous instances like that of Gary Plauché, who fatally shot his son’s rapist in 1984, and the Texan father who beat his daughter’s molester to death in 2012. In both cases, the fathers faced no jail time, as society understood the immense pain and anger they had experienced.

While vigilante justice is generally not condoned, what we truly need is a justice system that delivers appropriate and proportionate sentences. The victims and their families deserve to know that all seven of these Texas men will be found, brought before a court of law, and punished accordingly.

The gang rape of infants, recorded and shared online, is one of the most abhorrent crimes imaginable. It is only just that these men face the harshest consequences for their actions. Can anyone honestly say they disagree?
