A shocking incident unfolded in a quiet neighborhood of Fort Worth, Texas, when a naked Airbnb tenant brutally beat a man to death with firewood. The tenant, identified as Chrisantus Omondi, was later tased by the police after assaulting a neighbor and causing havoc in the house.

According to an arrest-warrant affidavit, the violent episode occurred during an attempt to deliver firewood to a home on Wendover Drive. As the victim, 51-year-old Scotty Jackson, and the neighbor were unloading the firewood, a naked Omondi approached them, claiming ownership of the property. Holding up a key, he exclaimed, “This is my house, I have the key right here.”

When Jackson and the neighbor instructed Omondi to leave, he flew into a rage, picking up a piece of wood and striking Jackson in the head. The neighbor was also hit in the arm while trying to defend himself. Fearing for his safety, the neighbor managed to escape into his home and called 911. From there, he witnessed Omondi relentlessly attacking Jackson, even dumping a wheelbarrow on him.

Meanwhile, Omondi broke into the Airbnb, which rented out multiple rooms to different tenants, and attempted to force his way into a resident’s room. Threatening to beat her up, he caused panic among the occupants. The authorities were alerted and swiftly arrived at the scene. Omondi, displaying non-compliant and aggressive behavior, was ultimately tased by the police.

Tragically, Jackson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The neighbor, although injured, survived the assault and received medical treatment for his non-life-threatening wounds. Omondi, aged 27, was taken into custody and currently remains behind bars with a total bond set at $312,000.

In addition to the murder charge, Omondi faces unrelated charges of aggravated assault against a security officer and obstruction or retaliation from the Tarrant County sheriff’s office. Jail records indicate that he has yet to secure legal representation.
