Smoke and Vape Store Robbery in Muncie, Indiana

MUNCIE, Ind. — In a recent incident, two men entered a smoke and vape store in Muncie, Indiana, where they stole items and attacked the clerk before fleeing the scene. The incident occurred on January 7, around 7:15 p.m., near the 3800 block of West Bethel Avenue. The local police were immediately alerted and responded to the reports of the robbery.

One of the suspects involved in the crime has been identified as Theodore Tschopp. Tschopp allegedly reached behind the counter of the store and grabbed several items while the clerk was in the back room. The clerk, who was monitoring the store’s surveillance cameras, witnessed Tschopp committing the theft.

When the clerk confronted both suspects about the stolen items, an altercation ensued. The second man involved in the robbery has been identified as 18-year-old Preston Marlow. Marlow reportedly shoved the clerk, causing him to strike a display case, and then proceeded to run behind the counter and take several items from the cash register area.

After grabbing the items, Marlow swiftly fled from the store. Meanwhile, Tschopp continued to assault the clerk before finally leaving the scene and getting into the car with Marlow. The clerk suffered several injuries to his face during the altercation and even lost consciousness at one point.

No initial hearing has been scheduled in this case, but the police are actively investigating the incident. The store’s surveillance footage and other evidence will be crucial in identifying and apprehending both suspects.
